Split rockers, step 3
Next, select an appropriate cutter. Since I speak primarily metric, mine was a 14mm. After cutting to my desired depth and then stepping off .5mm in both the "X+" and "X-" direction, I end up with a separation of approximately 5/8". After stepping down and blending your cut with the "9th" mounting location you should end up with something that looks like this.

Split rockers, step 2
Using your spindle mount indicator, find the center of one of the rocker shaft holes. Step off 2.125" (half the distance between the rocker arm centers) toward the center of the rocker box.

Split rockers, step 1
First, muster the courage to cut up a perfectly functional pristine condition set of 34 year old rockers! Done. Next, make a good plan of attack. I like to leave the "9th" mount in the center so I make a good rigid set up in the knee mill with the rockers "face up", like this.

Lets split!!!
Some before pics of a nice set of fully functional rocker boxes. But, since i just dont know any better......
Lets cut em all up and make a whole bunch more work myself!!
There, thats better. This modification serves absolutely no function other than i think the look is super cool! I can't wait to see Caroline all dressed up in these. I'll post a step by step "How To" when all the welding is finished and the top end oil lines are made.

Ezekiel 37:1-14
The Valley of Dry Bones
1 The hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “Sovereign LORD, you alone know.”
4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath[a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”
7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.
9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live.’” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.
11 Then he said to me: “Son of man, these bones are the people of Israel. They say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: My people, I am going to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 Then you, my people, will know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves and bring you up from them. 14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.’”

Oh Caroline, why?
Why do you hate me so? Pulled the primary drive off to remove the shifter bracket from the rachet lid in order to fabricate a hand shift lever. Of course, in true Caroline fashion, the clutch push rod pulled out of the transmission mainshaft. As most of you probably know, this is a no-no! So, off with the transmission end cap, and of course the clip that supposedly retains the thrust bearing is MIA!

Luke 2:25-35
25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. 26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah. 27 Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, 28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:
29 “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,
you may now dismiss[d] your servant in peace.
30 For my eyes have seen your salvation,
31 which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:
32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and the glory of your people Israel.”
33 The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him. 34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”
