Recorded for posterior.
I find no joy in showing you this. But since I can not "UN"see it, you must also suffer, as misery loves company.

Not charging?
This might have something to do with it. Probably the hottest one I've seen. When it failed. the windings burnt a 1/4" into the lamination. On older bikes I never go in this far without replacing rotor, stator, and voltage regulator. It just makes sense. This thing shorted out and got extremely hot, who knows what damage the other components could have sustained.
Tools
Make, don't buy. I needed a clutch hub puller for the '85-'89 Evo. You could spend $45.00 + $10.00 shipping and wait three days to get it, or just spend 20 minutes to make one out of scrap steel and a spare bolt.
Don't forget to...
Conservatively this November!! The survival of the middle class depends on it!! And by all means, wear an "I heart monkeys" shirt while doing it.

8/2012
Sorry guys, August was a slow month for blogging. I'll try to do better.
My cousin Marsha welcomed a son, her 5th child. What a blessing!! I have also visited a friend whose daughter welcomed a new baby boy.
The daily grind had been a bit overwhelming and I've undertaken an insane home renovation project that won't stop with just the kitchen and dining area. I'll have two bathrooms and a bed room to tackle before my task is finished! This is certainly curing my burn out issue with motorcycles.
