Split rockers, step 4
Some are content to leave the edges of the split fairly straight with only a small corner break. I'm not a huge fan of that look and prefer to machine a sizeable radius on either side of the split. Using a 7/16" radius cutting tool, carefully blend to face and inside surface of the rocker box.

ReplyDeleteI would radius the top as well as the sides. I'm not sure how that 9th hole will work out ........ How are you going to drill and tap the oil holes in that niffty groove you just made ??

Patience my friend, patience. I have yet to finish this series of posts. Handworking is next, then welding(the oil holes will be welded), then custom rocker bolts, then oil lines.
