This is an upgrade that definately made the cut! In fact, it worked out even better than I expected. After all, who actually expects a Troublehead to stop, right?!? You can see by the wear pattern that the late model caliper contacts much less of the rotor than the bananna caliper did. But, being a much more efficient caliper/master cylinder set up, it provides a great deal more stopping power than what the stock caliper ever could.

ReplyDeleteI've never had much love for the bananna calipers. They never seem to "float" as well as they should. I think I can hide the new caliper and bracket under a bananna cover, gonna look into it before spring.
