It's been a new puppy lovin', green machine ridin', RC truckin', baby princess dressin', new clothes modelin', chocolate eatin' frenzy this morning!!!! The kids seem to be having fun too! But most important on this joy filled day is
Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which IS Christ the Lord.
May God richly bless you today and in the new year my friends.
22 Then he said to his disciples, the time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. 23 People will tell you, "there he is!" or "here he is!" do not go running off after them. 24 For the Son of Man in his day will be like lightening, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. 25 But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26 "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all."
I've decided to input the necessary extra effort to reclaim as much of the original wood trim as possible in my kitchen/dining room remodel. This serves several purposes; decreased landfill contribution, decreased consumption of natural resources, decreased financial expenditure, ect. While I'm far from being an ecocrazy, I do believe that conservation is always a good practice. But mostly I just love the character and texture of the old wood. After all, it is telling a nearly 100 year old story.
P.S. I'm tired of playing carpenter, I want to work on something with wheels!!!
Man I love this car!! All the right touches, four speed, big block, flawless fit and finish, a great color, not to mention it rides like a dream! Magnificent example of a great all american hot rod.
I've heard slow and steady wins the race, but right now I'm still a few laps down!! All the electric is upgraded, plumbing is finished, and drywall is hung and finished. Gonna work on trim this week and hopefully new hardwood will be going down this weekend! This is the point in the project that I look forward to. Now is when you can really see results for all your hard work.
Today's performance will conclude Abby's theatrical debut as Snow Shoe in the Park Theater/Jennings Co. Players production of Santa's Christmas Tree. I'm so proud of my little drama queen!! She did a radio interview for the play and told the DJ that she is hooked on theater and will definitely be doing it again. Break a leg my dear child!
