Diesel Pushers

I grew up on the Ohio river (or as the Indians called it, the great muddy water). All my life I've listened to these bid tug boats labor, sometimes with, sometimes against the current, moving their cargo, usually coal, up and down the big river.

  1. Wes-Nice picture! Your post reminds me of the trains that I would watch as a kid! I reckon' the tugboats are the 'trains' of the river!

    1. Chris-Thanks man. I snapped that pic from the air conditioned comfort of The Overlook restaurant in Leavenworth IN. One of the many places we can check out when I show you around the land that I love, hint-hint. ;)

  2. Mate, you've no idea how much this kind of stuff is part of my life's dreams of America, simple, honest and timeless, almost Tom Sawyer in some ways, thanks buddy.

    1. My pleasure man!! I love the place I'm from. There's a lot of places I'd like to visit, but no where else I'd like to live. Same offer as Chris, you find your way here and I'll put you up and show you around.
